I ran the scans at www.grc.com against my Mandrake 7.1 and determined that I had commented out almost all of the server programs like, ftp, finger, telnet, ident, etc. I have the automatic install of 7.1, which littered my computer with loads of running processes. There are several processes that still run at boot, and I am reluctant to arbitrarily disable them without knowing what they do. Here's the specific problem: The "grc" port probe shows that my port 25 SMTP is open. What Mandrake program should I disable to close this SMTP port?
