Hi yeah I have Coexant 56K modem and unfortunately I could never get it
to operate under Linux. so I went down and bought an external Modem Blaster
and it works just fine. As far as the .tar.gz goes. put the file in a
directory and uncompress it with gunzip filename.tar.gz. then open the
source with tar xvf filename.tar. then run the script if any or read the
README notes and follow direction.
