A&L....I have a KX-P4420 (laser) and it runs perfectly (and
has done so since I started using Linux with RedHat 5.2) when
I set it up as a HP Laserjet (the earliest, simplest one).
Extrapolating that info, I'd say that your best bet is to pick
an early HP that resembles (in function) your KX-P1150 and set
up with it.
