You're absolutely right. I suspect its done because they realize that
lots of Windows users know nothing about disk partitions and the
like. Messages here indicate this is a major problem for people.
Still, running Linux from a Windows partition is silly and it's clear
that trying to do so has turned off a lot of people to Linux.
