[newbie] perl problem

Hey,
  When running perl applications I get the following non-fatal error:

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
        LANGUAGE = "en",
        LC_ALL = "en",
        LANG = "en"
    are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").

How can I eliminate this "warning"?
