Hello!

I have recently installed Mandrake 7.1. I have two major problems:

1.

First, it seems that I can compile a source file either by gcc or g77,
but I cannot run object file giving command (a.o or a.out - permissions are
ok), instead get a message

bash: a.o: command not found

2.

My other problem is related to ethernet card that other distributions
can cause to the same problem. The ethernet card is
identified but I can't configure it due to this diagnostic message:

3c59x.c:v0.99H 11/17/98 Donald Becker

Please help!

Any help is greatly appreciated.
