My mp3s are recorded off my cds in 160kbps and sound nearly perfect in windows. however, in linux with xmms, the sound quality degrades horribly. cymbals sound like garbage can lids and people sound like they are in garbage cans. i already checked, and the effect plugins are not enabled. i am currently using the OSS Driver 1.0.1 for my output plugin. if anyone could help, i would greatly appreciate it. greg ________________________________________ Get your free email at thebackpacker.com
