I am not sure if you want to turn off automatic dependencies unless you
know what you are doing. Often new versions of programs require newer
versions of support libraries (e.g. Gtk, Tcl/Tk). If you overrule the
dependency and install the program anyway, there is a good chance it won't
work at all, or do things you don't intend.
