Did you just "install" over the top of the first one? Did you format the
original partitions, delete and recreate partitions.....? I assume you
didn't "upgrade" over the top of the same version of Linux. Then, after you
installed Win2000 you obviously redid the partitions.
Linux shouldn't do anything to the drive that deleting its partitions and
DOS fdisk /mbr wouldn't fix. I understand Win2000 is different in what it
does to a drive [and I hope someone will explain more] and I wonder if there
might be an interaction with Linux here. -Gary-
