The Linksys 100TX 4.1 is automaticlly set up in 7.1 as eth0 and uses the
current tulip driver mod.( I speak from experiance I have 3 such cards on 3
different machines and at 1 time or another have had 7.1 installed on each
machine and in all cases the NIC was recogd and the proper driver loaded)
Launch LinuxConfig and under adapter you should see a listing for eth0
and for the driver installed. If it does not show the driver as tulip you
need to change to that driver.
It is then just a matter of setting up the network itself.
You did not say what type of network you have. Each is a little different
as far as configuring.
Since you list a dsl link. If your NIC is simply a connector to a dsl
modem you will have to configure that account. Though dsl adverts as always
on most are PPPoE and if you check the Newbie archive under that heading it
will give directions for setting up such an account in Linux.
I simply use my network for internet connection sharing so I use DHCP.
