[newbie] Install on IBM ThinkPad 365XD - experiences ??

I have the above with 1.3 GB / P133.  I upgraded it from Win95 to Win98 (mistake) runs like a dog now.

 

Anybody installed linux to a similar laptop ?  problems ?
