Gavin the fact that you have an HCFMODEM listed indicates that this
is a controllerless modem - a winmodem. I don't like your chances.

Linux in general does not support this type of device which is
designed for one software product. Leaving the controller hardware
off the card probably reduces the manufactuerers costs by 50%!

I would seriously suggest that you obtain an external modem from
a reputable supplier of the same there are brand names such as
3Com, Dynalink and many others which will do the job much easier
and the messing about you'll be landed with trying and even MAYBE
succeeding with this one.
