Ouch! I wouldn't go that far. Scandisk does work well, I have had it find and fix errors for me without a hitch. I currently multi-boot linux, win98, win2000 pro and win 2000 server (server is for educational purpose) and there has been even more in the past. I've had only one problem with an OS corrupting another's filesystem and that was a bug in the windows 2000 mbr recovery tool. Scandisk shouldn't be any kind of problem as long as you're not trying to use it on your Linux partition (which I don't think is even possible?) Mike
