[newbie] Mandrake 7.2 php4 not working

I have downloaded and installed Mandrake7.2, but could not manage to make
the php tags work.

> rpm -qa | grep php
php-4.0.3pl1-1mdk 

shows me that php4 is installed. What may be the reason?
