Hi:

I am using Mandrake 7.1 on a Thinkpad 770 ED for the first time with
KDE. My previous relelase was Red Hat 5.2 and fvwm95 as the window
manager. I am not new to Linux, but I am new to this release and KDE,
and I haven't been able to get my beloved "set -o vi" to work in any of
the terminals in KDE. I have placed the command on the command line as
well as in the .bashrc to no avail. Each time I enter the "ESC -" key
sequence nothing happens.

Can someone out there provide me with some suggestions for fixing this
problem? I really really need this feature, because I am lazy and bad
typist, and I truly hate having to use the mouse for repeating
commands...

Thanks!
Maureen
