Ok, long story short. I'm trying to add an Adaptec 1542c SCSI card to an existing mdk7.2 system. I want to recompile the kernel to include SCSI support. I go to install the kernel-sources rpm and am told I need to install dev86. I rpm -i dev86, it runs for about 30-40 seconds. I then get the messages VM: killing process rpm. killed. rpm -q dev86 says it is not installed. Huh? Any ideas on whats happening? ----------------------------------------------------- Phil Garrett Systems Analyst Home Sales Co. / Hill Management [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----------------------------------------------------
