Well I have one that's been frustrating me for awhile, everything installed fine, runs a little slow but OK. After some period of time (a few hours, 1 day, or 1.5 days) the machine starts grinding away at the hard drive. Stops accepting all keyboard inputs and the display freezes. I can let the HD grind away for hours and never stops.....The only thing I can do is turn off power and reboot......I've started to use GNOME and have yet to see the problem, but It's only been one day.. Here's specs on machine: Pentium 233 96Meg RAM 6.0 HD ATI Mach 64 Rage II SB16 Mactronix Network Card (Tulip driver) This is an HP Pavilion 8160 machine and I'm trying to turn it into something useful :-) Any ideas?
