you won't need luck.... just a good understanding of boot records and hard drives, and study a bit on linux partitioning schemes. Partition magic works wonders, (although in my dual boot machine I use both PM and lilo so I have a second chance to change my little mind as I boot.....) and BASH IS BASH so you should have a good head start in the shell (although you may really get to enjoy window managers so much the shell is an afterthought, for obscure configuration issues)

Subject: [newbie] Mike Scott Mandrake Newbie

Hi I have purchased linux Mandrake. I have also completed a course in Unix. I am going to attempt a duel boot of this product. I have read all the manuals and documents that came with the box. As a student of (UNIX bash) I am going at this slowly and carefully. I need the present windows operating system in operational condition because my employment requires I have access to Windows. WISH ME LUCK
Mike Scott.
