My system for Nescape mail is to go to /home/nsmail (or where ever your
current mail is stored) and remove the summary files and then set Netscape
to read from that mail directory.

I've just moved from LM7.0 to 7.1 after 59 practise installs! and I've used
this
method each time.

I'm not sure if this will work with Ver 6 but it's certainly worked with
various
versions of Netscape on Win95/96/MacOS and Linux.

Cheers
