Thank you for the nice mail.
I have just now downloaded all the new packages and installed them. This
went well. After restarting CUPS I tried printing the whole thing again,
from WordPerfect, using the Tektronix driver. Same problem.
But when I printed from Kword this time, the problem I had there (no
printing at all) was gone. The print came out of the printer crystal
clear. The print quality is far better than the one WordPerfect through
postscript does.

I did not have ESP Print Pro installed, so that was easy. The printer is
simply hooked up to the parallel port.
Parallel, USB, or on a remote Windows

With the printer working as it does now, with Kword, I am satisfied. What
good is a good word processor if it does not use the system printer in a
decent way. I am sure that I can get Kword to do what I want.
Thanks!
