I have Linux Mandrake 7.1 and I'm trying to do a complete installation onto an IBM 560 Thinkpad. I'm using a Panasonic KXL-D70 4x scci cd player. I can't get 7.1 to regonize my player. I believe it is because my adapter card is recognized and managed under windows and when I go out of windows to the boot disk DOS doesn't find it because it is a windows driver although when I installed the cd rom driver I had to install it in DOS. I read in the documentation of Linux-Mandrake 7.1 that I needed to go to my BIOS and change it to recognize plugn' play devices but when I went there, there was nowhere to do this, only a place to configure my boot sequence, and they were as follows: A drive, C drive, & PCMCIA. My cd player is not a bootable cd player so I think this is a problem also. Any suggestions? Allen ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
