Not incredibly different as far as usability and features go.
I think Mandrake is better for the following reasons:
1, Mandrake ftp mirrors are almost always accessible(not overloaded)
2, The mailing lists are smaller meaning better attention to your posts
3, DrakConf (I really like this...Windows convert)
4, urpmi seems promising
5, Mandrake is not having the glibc problems RedHat 7 is right now
