[newbie] Disk Formatting

Prior to now, I used the following to format a disk.  Now it
doesn't work.  What will work?

setfdprm /dev/fd0 1440/1440 fdformat /dev/fd0H1440 mkfs /dev/fd0 1440


The above is a Linux format.  I also need to know a DOS format
command/syntax.
