For some reason or other but was explained by one of our fellow newbie lister after 
2.4.0-5mdk.src.rpm, The rpm --rebuild command unpacks the source but it doesn't create 
kernel-source, kernel-smp, kernel-headers, etc type rpm packages, anymore. He said 
that it puts the files directly with patches and all into /usr/src/[kernel version]. I 
will have to varify this but I do see /usr/src/RPM/BUILD/[kerenl version] exists with 
all patches and what nots in it's directory. You might have to reply directly to me. 
Ever since I've been activated as a crashtester, I don't appear to receive newbie 
lists anymore.

Matter of fact, this is one of the last messages that I see before all the rest of the 
new crashtester list.
