  If you did write the change to mbr (ie, by running lilo), and it still 
doesn't see the ram .... it's a hardware issue.  Try reseating the ram, 
and/or moving it around in different slots.  Past that, it's a big 
motherboard problem.  Check the board specs/docs, it could be that it 
won't address ram over 64mb.
