[newbie] Printer recommendations

I had to replace my Lexmark Z11 because it wouldn't work in Mandrake even 
with the cooker drivers.  So I got a Canon S450.  It works but the formatting 
gets lost.  Tired of messing with it.

So what printers can you guys recommend that is easily compatable and that 
prints the way it should?
