Hi,
You didn't mention it in your message, but did you modify your
XF86Config and XF86Config-4 files by replacing "nv" with "nvidia"? Based on
the output of lsmod it looks like X is still loading the old nv driver and
not the new one.
Also I have the 0.9-6 drivers working in 7.2 with the 2.2.17 kernel just
fine, after I made the modifications from evil3d. But my PC has a Via
Apollo Pro chipset.
