This is a firewall that came with linux-Mandrake 7.2 distro, everything was working fine untill I decided to give myself an online scan.(http://www.sdesign.com/cgi-bin/fwtest.cgi?APPLY=Scan+Me+Now) To my dismay almost all of my ports were vunerable. The darn thing was just working great days ago! I decided to run in console (ipchains -L) They were no rules and nothing was working. I went back to linux-confi and saw nothing, but I when I was exiting linux-config complain about firewal not in sync with the current system, it ask me to fix it I agree. It then complian about not able to find /usr/lib/linuxconf/lib/firewal. I looked in the directory and I saw /usr/lib/linuxconf/lib/firewalled . I renamed firewalled to firewal and it worked. Now!, My question is what cause this to happen? I am not sure but I updated my linux config and maybe that was the problem. Any other person experience this problem, and why pm-firewall is not working in my system? I did installed it correctly and I answered all question to the best of my abilities correctly.
