When you get the KPPP connection box on the desktop, click on setup and then 
check the the second tab I think it is 'modem' and look at the settings for a 
place where it says timeout. Set the time out to 90 to 100 seconds and then 
try dialing again.  If this does not work you may want to check in DrakConf 
under DNS name server to make sure that the ISP's IP addresses are shown and 
correct. Also double check your password and user name. I use earthlink.net 
and have to put "ELN/username" to get it to authenticate.  Check these things 
and let us know. Troubleshooting is a bummer, but if your dialing, whatever 
is wrong can be fixed.
