I was tring to run configure on apache 1.3.17. permissions are 777. I ran ./configure in the correct directory. The response was "bash: ./configure: No such file or directory" I am logged in as root, and the user and group are both root. The first line of configure is # !/bin/sh, the same as other configure that have been run, such as the configure for PHP. What is going on? Michael -- Michael Lewis Registered Linux User #197864
