[newbie] Corrupted menu

Hello,

        I did a dumb thing, & installed a menu support rpm that came with 
CorelPHOTOPAINT9 not realizing that it was the KDE 'K' menu (StartMenu?? 
What is the Linux term??) .  It put 4 entries in the menu for every item 
that was there.  I uninstalled it.  It removed the items, I used menuDrake, 
it put them back.  How can I restore the menu??  I tried an uninstall the 
menu but that meant that I would have to uninstall KDE itself.

Help, please.
