[newbie] upgrade to kernel 2.2.19

Hi!

Is it worth upgrading to 2.2.19 from 2.2.17? If yes, then how? It requires
the alsa-2.2.19 package, as I know. Can I simply install it, or does it
have to be forced? (I have Mdk 7.2)
