[newbie] Can't log-in first time as root

Hello,

can somebody advise me why I can't log in direct as a root?
First I can log as any user except root, than with "su" as a root.
It happens after last installation M8. I have used default security
level.
Is it in security level setting? If so, how can I switch it back?
I've installed M8 four-five times and this problem became for first
time.
