Gareth> Hello all, I've just managed to upgrade to Mandrake 8.0 onmy

Gareth> Can anybody please tell me how to do this?

I can tell you what I've tried (so far unsuccessfully). I have a new
OriNOCO card trying to chat with an Apple AirPort base station.

0. Make sure you have the wireless-tools RPM installed.

1. As root, with the WaveLAN installed, run draknet.

2. Leave "auto detection" selected. Click Next.

3. Hopefully it will select "LAN connection - ethernet card(s) detected".
   Click Next.

4. Click Next until you get to the page for the wvlan_cs config.

5. Do your thing.

Step 5 is where I am stuck. When configuring the Apple AirPort cards on my
iMacs, all I had to do was enter the network name of the base station and
the password. I didn't see any options that looked like "network name" or
"password" in the wvlan_cs config page. Any suggestions?

You might also take a look at the iwconfig command if you're not familiar
with it. I suspect you can make all the necessary settings with it, but I
have no experience with it.
