I have upgraded from
7.2 to 8.0 recently. My box was running Apache, sendmail with imap,pop3 and smtp
protocols. After the upgrade everything is shut down. nmap shows no open ports.
I have tried the tinyfirewall program that comes with the Control Panel but it
is to vague and wont open port 110 for pop3 access. I then tried Bastille and am
pretty sure I f#$ked the whole thing up since nothing is open now. I checked
services and it shows that Basitlle in NOT running either is IPChains. My box
also does internet connectoin sharing for other boxes that hang off it...and
they work fine. Im totally confused as to what is controlling my ports now. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
