I may be way off base here but I think the problem lies in the different
concepts of Windows and Linux in that with Windows anyone can "log on" to the
system and access anything that isn't password protected, whereas with Linux
you log on as an individual user and only have access to your own area.
A way round your problem might be to set up a new Mandrake user(s) and
configure Kmail for that user who would have their own e mail account with
the ISP and their own password. That way that each user would have a separate
set of folders within their own /home which other users could not access.
But if you want to be an administrator as it were, and have access to their
mailboxes you will need to have each users passwords available to you which
will enable you to view/edit their mailboxes. This obviously raises security
issues if you are talking about a corporate environment.
