The good news is that I am running X on my IBM ThinkPad 770z (finally). The bad news
is that the visible desktop is only half the size of my screen. I am running Mandrake
8.0 and have tried using lower resolutions and the like.
Also, I cannot use the TrackPoint mouse on the laptop. It wasn't recognized by the
installer so I had to use an external USB mouse. Now I don't know how to configure the
TrackPoint! The laptop is not very useful unless it can be portable (ie, no external
mouse), so I consider this an urgent problem.
