I have installed 8.0 and everything was fine. I went to rebuild the kernel
to add appletalk to it. I created a bzdisk and tried to boot from that and
now the eth0 and some other things fail to come up. Appletalk protocol was
the only thing i changed.
I reinstalled the OS and them just did a make xconfig, changed nothing, did
a make dep, make cleaa, make bzdisk, rebooted from the floppy and had the
exact same problems. What's going on here? i figured that it would build
the same version of the kernel as 8.0 installed. Is that not right? is the
problem booting from flopyy and not lilo?
How can I simply add the appltalk stuff as a module that is loaded at boot
up since I can't seem to get the kernel compiled correctly.
