Ctrl-s is, by default the "stop" key combination which basically freezes or
stops the screen. You can change it by adding the following to the .bashrc
file in your home directory:

stty stop ^T

where "T" is the letter that you assign to stop instead of s. I happen to
use T, but you can use other letters.
