Hi! I continually see something called a "Load Average" as a statistic for servers, ftp sites...and even my machine :) But what does it mean? The output from "uptime" tells me this: 11:50pm up 2:48, 2 users, load average: 0.49, 0.55, 0.51 So is this saying that my system is being "loaded" 0.49 out of 10, 1 minute ago...or is it out of 5 or what? Please help me :) Thanks, George
