Have you tried changing the font settings in either browser??  What impact
has that had (if any??)?  Using fixed width fonts, or variable?  Document default
or user?
Why not give Opera a try? <g>
Sorry I can't be of more help, but I do not use either of the browsers you've
mentioned.
