I'm not sure actually. i downloaded the RPM from www.rpmfind.net

i decided to go about this a different way and compile a tarball
i had to download gcc 3.0 and cpp 3.0 (mplayer demands you have gcc 3) to get
./configure to run for me and i get this error when using ./configure for
MPlayer-0.18pre5

root@charter MPlayer-0.18pre5]# ./configure
You can get detailed help on configure with: ./configure --help
Please wait while ./configure discovers your software and hardware
environment!
Checking version of gcc ... 3.0, ok

Your gcc does not support even "i386" for '-march' and '-mcpu'.

i cannot find a piece of information about this error anywhere on the net.
you guys have any clue?

Luke
