Thanks for the insights.......... I really don't know that much about DSL and
networks....(as if you couldn't tell)...... and I appreciate the input. I
think I will get the "free" dsl pci modem.......play with that........and if
I can't get it to work I will go get a dsl modem/router........... and put
the pci in a win box for my kid. Hopefully I get all this up and running as
well as I have the 56k modem now( it is currently running 3 computers
networked through a 3 com hub). I have tons of reading to do yet...... but I
am happy to get this far.....with the lack of knowledge I have in this area.

Another question for anyone.......... Does Mandrake 8.0 differ much from 7.2
in this area? (networking home computers through a hub or router to get to
the internet)
