I'm running MD8.0 on my pc at home and
accessing the internet through a dial up
connection. MSEC is set for a Medium Level
of security. Using www.sdesign.com, I got
the following report:

111 tcp sunrpc open
111 udp sunrpc open or filtered
177 udp xdmcp open or filtered
631 tcp open
901 udp open or filtered
1024 tcp open
1024 udp open or filtered
1025 tcp listen open
1025 udp listen open
6000 tcp X11 open
I'm not sure why 111 is open, and I haven't
been successful in closing 631 to the outside
world whithout shutting down Cups.
Basically, I'm wondering what my risk level
is and what I can do to tighten it up.
