Dear folk
I am getting fed up downloading photo images from my digital camera over
a serial line and would like to use one of those floppy disk adapters for
SmartMedia cards. Presumably extra software would be required to drive
the adapter, not least because the filesystem needs to be interpreted.
Does anybody know what the SmartMedia filesystem is and how to mount it?
Or is there any GNU/Linux software which would help? I have to confess
I have not yet made a documentation search.
And, off topic, where does the "media" in SmartMedia come from? Should it
not be "medium" or are there other types of storage device to which the
epithet "smart" could be applied?
