I run both KDE and Gnome apps in Blackbox (home) and Windowmaker (at
work).  I've never had a problem.  while there may be some exceptions (I'm
sure there must be ;-) )I am not familiar with, you shouldn't have a
problem running most Gnome apps in KDE.
