Yes, the question mark was intentional. I didn't really forget my passphrase. I changed my root password manually last night from the command line from a ten character password to a 49 character (58 counting spaces) passphrase. I logged out at the end of a marathon session of tinkering with my network settings and now I can't log back in. I *KNOW* I am typing it correctly... is there a limit to the # of characters a pw can have? I mean, when I made the phrase last night did it actually register less than what I typed and therefore I'm entering an invalid pw now because I'm typing too much? This sorta sucks because I'm gonna have to do a complete reinstall (yeahyeah I know I can mnt/etc/passwd but I didn't make an emergency boot disk). If anyone knows either what's up with my system or another way I can solve this without a reinstall, please give me a heads up.
