Mkd 8.0 box says MINIMUM install requirements are:
32MB RAM (text) install  or  64MB for graphical
500MB free hard drive space  withe 800MB recommended

It looks like you may have tried to put Linux on your first hard drive which 
does not contain enough space.  You will have to put part of the install on 
your second drive..   I think that requires the EXPERT install options so you 
can set up /usr  and /home on your second drive.
