In the past, ECS has been a low-quality manufacturer, but that seems to be changing. SiS is the most linux-friendly chipset maker around. Their 630 and 730 Series can run fine with linux as the BIOS and they have helped www.linuxbios.org actually do that though it is still an exercise for the stout of heart. Civileme
