hi i got some files of format :avi, quicktime mov, mpeg, mp3, mpg, etc.and i wanna watch/hear them!! what i did was go to www.projectmayo.com and downloaded the rpms (from rpmfind.net Polish(ed) distribution .i686 format) for xmps, opendivx lib and decore. what happens is : from the command line, i type a) xmps & and it opens up but when i add a file from any of the above formats, it doesnt do anything but just sits there b) xmps mp3 file.mps, i get an error: (hmm suddenly cant get the same error, it used to open a gnome window saying error etc, cancel, report) but now it just says "segmentation fault: core dump" a few btw's: sound server is running and starts at bootup sound card is seen in sndconfig and mandrake control centre (Crystal Codec and Crystal MPU-401) as far as i understand, i have everything that i need to run the files but i cant. pls. help thanks _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
